Attach the lanyard to your body and, if you and the bike part company the lanyard pulls the magnet away from the switch which earths the ignition circuit and instantly kills the engine.

This runs as a spur off the main coil lead and goes to earth, the circuit is completed when the magnet is removed and kills the engine.

It mounts on the bars with the fittings provided
